Bio-Save® Organic Decay-Control
Bio-Save is an EPA registered, US-patented, certified-organic, post-harvest, biological-decay-control agent. Bio-Save is labeled for post-harvest applications for the control and prevention of disease on a variety of fruits and vegetables that includes, among others: seed and storage white potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
- The main ingredient of Bio-Save is the formulated bacterium, Pseudomonas syringae.
Pseudomonas syringae is a vegetative microorganism bacterium that enters the wounded crop where the mold spores (disease) are located and will last, under competitive inhibition, in the wounds throughout the storage period.
Bio-Save® 10LP is a certified-organic, post-harvest biological preventative for potatoes, citrus, and some fruits. It controls the decay caused by dry rot (Fusarium sambucinum) and silver scurf (Helminthosporium solani) on both seed and storage potatoes.
Bio-Save® 11LP is a certified-organic, post-harvest biological preventative for sweet potatoes and some fruits. It aids in the control of soft rot on sweet potatoes.
